Job description
DEPARTMENT MANAGER
(Department Leadership — Massimo Dutti UK)
Who we are
Massimo Dutti is part of the Inditex family of brands, within one of the world’s leading fashion retail groups, with global brands including Zara, Pull&Bear, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Stradivarius, Oysho, Zara Home and Lefties.
Massimo Dutti blends timeless style with a modern edge — defined by quality, considered design, tailoring and elevated everyday essentials. Our stores deliver a premium experience where detail matters: product knowledge, presentation and thoughtful service. At Inditex, how we work sets us apart: teamwork, respect, curiosity and sustainability, with people at the center of every success.
The role
As a Department Manager, you own the performance and daily leadership of your department. You drive sales through product, standards and service — while developing a confident team that can deliver consistently in a premium environment.
You’ll be hands-on on the shopfloor, using KPIs and product insight to set priorities, coach performance and keep the department looking and feeling exceptional.
This role is for you if you…
Lead with emotional intelligence, integrity and high standards
Are commercially strong and confident with KPIs and daily trade
Care about detail: service, product knowledge and presentation
Are organised, calm under pressure and strong at prioritising
Enjoy developing people and creating a positive, accountable team culture
What you’ll do
Own department results: sales, productivity and key KPIs
Analyse performance and product to set clear daily actions for the team
Deliver a premium customer experience through strong service and product knowledge
Maintain excellent presentation, availability and department routines
Coach, develop and support your team through clear feedback and training
Partner with VM/Operations to ensure flow, replenishment and standards are consistent
Support compliance with Health & Safety, security and store procedures
Champion Inditex sustainability initiatives through daily ways of working
What we offer
Competitive salary, 25% staff discount across all Inditex brands, 28 days holiday allowance, company pension scheme and the “More for Less” benefits platform with a wide range of discounts.
At Inditex, internal talent is our greatest asset. We offer clear progression opportunities, continuous learning through training and e-learning, and the chance to contribute to social and sustainability projects that make a real difference.
Inclusion & accessibility
We are committed to creating a recruitment process that is inclusive and accessible to everyone. Adjustments are available for candidates with disabilities or long-term conditions.
